Description

The Foundation is managed by the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation in partnership with Wildhorse Resort and Casino. The Confederated Tribes' homeland is in northeastern Oregon and southeastern Washington State. The Foundation awards grants to eligible organizations in this area, which includes Morrow, Umatilla, Union, and Wallowa counties in Oregon; the Tribes Ceded Territory in Washington, which is most of Benton, Columbia, and Walla Walla counties; the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation; any Native America Tribal Government agencies or Native American charitable organization with its principal office and base of operations within the State of Oregon; and any national or regional Indian organizations. Grants are awarded to support projects focused on the arts, cultural activities, education, environmental protection, historic preservation, public health, public safety, salmon restoration, and gambling addiction prevention, education, and treatment.
