Description

Named after the Ralson Center, Philadelphia's first home for aging women and single women who had fallen on hard times and later evolving to serve the health and wellness needs of seniors in West and Northwest Philadelphia, the Foundation supports and enhances the quality of life of vulnerable and underserved older adults residing in Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania. Priority is given to organizations providing services and programs that include access to affordable, equitable, and high-quality care; behavioral and mental health issues; caregiver support; care coordination; housing; homelessness; and loneliness and social isolation issues. The Foundation's Innovative Project Support Committee awards grants for projects that are intended to discover new and better ways of solving pervasive problems that impact older adults; small interventions that, when scaled, can have significant impact to addressing a big problem; and organizations and projects led by entrepreneurial leadership teams who are skilled at testing new ideas.
