DescriptionFounded in 1981, the Fund believes that lasting change will come only when many people are well-informed and empowered to make change. The Fund's Community Organizing Grants awards grants to grassroot organizations that will significantly impact their geographic and social justice focus areas or are working on issues that still need to be recognized by progressive funders. The Fund's four pillars of grantmaking are: Organizing to Shift Power; Working to Build a Movement; Dismantling Oppression; and Creating New Structures. Grants are awarded to organizations in the United States, a U.S. territory, Mexico, and Haiti. Visit the Web site for additional information and application instructions.
