DescriptionThe Foundation works to unleash to potential of women journalists as champions of press freedom. The Foundation seeks to ensure that women journalists worldwide are fully supported, protected, recognized, and rewarded for their vital contributions to the news ecosystem. The Foundation’s Reporting Grants for Women’s Stories, funded by the Secular Society, is a new funding initiative that supports journalism produced by and about women. Grants awarded through this new initiative will serve as a catalyst for reporting on untold stories surrounding issues worldwide that impact women and girls’ daily lives. Funding may be used to pursue international stories of importance through gender-sensitive coverage of underreported topics. Grants may be used to cover a range of reporting-related costs, including travel (flights, ground transportation, drivers); logistics; visa fees; and payment for fixers/translators.
