Description

The Foundation’s mission is to help underserved individuals move toward self-sufficiency as well as to provide opportunities for enrichment in the communities the Foundation serves. Founded by the president of the NAPA Auto chain of retail stores, the Foundation awards grants in the areas of Education, Human Service, and the Arts. Arts grants fund museums, visual arts, performing arts, media and communication, arts education, zoos, and public recreation. Education grants support K-12 schools, early childhood education, higher education, adult education/literacy, and workforce development. Human services grants support programs and projects in children and youth services, emergency food programs, youth development, domestic violence and temporary housing/homelessness. Organizations must provide service within Ohio. The Foundation focuses its support in the greater Cleveland and Columbus, Ohio areas. The Foundation is currently prioritizing its grantmaking to organizations it has supported in the past five years. For new applicants, the Foundation encourages a phone call prior to applying.
