DescriptionThe Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the science and technology Company. The Foundation’s annual Wireless Innovation Project offers applicants the opportunity to win up to $300,000 for innovative mobile solutions with potential to solve critical global problems. The mobile or wireless solution must have the potential to solve a problem in the areas of access to education, health, access to communication, economic development, and the environment/disaster relief. The project must be at a stage of research where an advance prototype or field/market test can occur during the award period. The technology should have the potential for replication and large-scale impact. Applicants should also have a business plan or basic framework for financial sustainable. Three awards will be given in each of the award categories. First place winners receive $300,000; second place winners will get $200,000 and third-place winners earn $100,000.
