Description

The Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the Ash Grove Cement Company. Grants help build the places in the Kansas City region and other Company markets where families in distress find help and healing, where young minds grow and thrive, and where communities come together for celebration and inspiration. The Foundation focuses on brick and mortar projects – including planning, design, construction, renovation, repairs, and restoration – that reflect the area’s unique heritage and provides a necessary source of funding for established nonprofits that need new or improved facilities. The Foundation targets its grants in four areas: health care and hospitals, human services, higher education, and arts and culture. Grants are awarded in western Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Arkansas, western Iowa, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Utah, and Montana. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
