DescriptionThe Foundation invests in innovation to inspire change that strengthens communities in the Greater Philadelphia region. Grants are awarded in four areas of interest: arts and culture, education, health, and human services. With the exception of Arts and Culture, projects and initiatives supported by the Foundation should aim to improve the lives of low-income individuals, families, and communities. The Foundation has two primary programs that provide financial support: the Barra Awards and the Catalyst Fund. The Barra Awards acknowledge and advance exemplary organizations in the Greater Philadelphia region. Eligible nominated organizations will receive an invitation to apply for the Awards. For grants from the Catalyst Fund, organizations located in the five-county Greater Philadelphia region (Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Philadelphia, and Montgomery counties) are eligible to apply.
