DescriptionThe Fund seeks to make the world more safe and secure. Grants are made in the following areas: Promote the Reduction and Eventual Elimination of Nuclear Weapons; Prevent the Emergence of New Nuclear States; and Build Regional Peace and Security. Reduction and Elimination grants help leaders take concrete steps to reduce current arsenals and limit future ones. Prevention grants focus on diplomacy and engagement. Regional Peace and Security grants work to transform the area of South Asia, between India and Pakistan. There are no geographical limitations on the Fund’s grants. The Fund does and has funded direct lobbying programs and individuals. It does not fund the production of films, videos, books, art projects or provide scholarships or support the research/writing of academic dissertations.
