The Lazar Foundation

Description

The Foundation is dedicated to supporting innovative and strategic projects that protect the environment in the Pacific Northwest including Idaho, Oregon, and Washington. The Foundation’s current areas of interest are conservation of large, biologically significant terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems; preservation of biological diversity; projects that broaden the environmental movement; projects that strengthen or increase the capacity of the environmental movement’s ability to develop, shape, and communicate its message. The Foundation does not accept proposals in the following topic areas: toxics, land acquisitions or land trusts, environmental education, individuals, computer-related expenses, civic projects, or endowments or capital campaigns. Letters of inquiry may be submitted at any time; invited proposals are due April 15 and October 15 annually. Additional information can be found on the Web site.
