The first quarter of a new calendar year is an excellent time to “look up” and see where we are and where we want to go. This session provides a framework to help us get a different view – to enhance strategic thinking and explore tools and techniques to set goals and take action.

This course will be conducted live via a combination of online and phone conferencing (i.e., "webinar"). The online conference will include a PowerPoint presentation and text chat capabilities. Participants will have opportunities to ask questions and interact with the presenter(s) and other participants via chat and teleconference.
We encourage all participants to bring other colleagues and co-workers to this training. There is no additional fee for multiple participants at the same location, as long as all individuals share the same phone and computer connection.

About the Presenter(s)
Jessica Kohnen and Jennifer Meder are managing partners at hyve, a consulting firm that supports organizations and people doing work that matters. They believe that, with the right tools, insights, and practices, organizations can have a bigger impact and move great missions forward faster.
Before founding hyve, Jessica worked in the non-profit sector for two decades, with a consistent focus on improving the health and well-being of vulnerable populations.
Jessica led two non-profit organizations, Evergreen Health Care and Playworks Baltimore, in the role of Executive Director, and held other roles in various nonprofits, including the Family League of Baltimore, and the Annie E. Casey Foundation.
Jessica has a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from Vassar College, and a Master of Public Administration in Nonprofit Management from the Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service at New York University. Jessica lives with her family in Baltimore. She actively participates in volunteer fundraising each year via a 140-mile weekend bike ride from Ocean City to Baltimore for Moveable Feast.
Prior to founding hyve, Jennifer held senior roles at two large consulting firms and worked as the Vice President of Learning & Organizational Development at a Fortune 500 company.
Over her 20 years in the field, Jennifer has worked with both non-profit and for-profit organizations to improve their performance through their people. Jennifer has led large-scale projects in employee engagement, talent management, executive development, and organizational effectiveness.
Jennifer graduated cum laude from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York and received a Master of Science from Northwestern University. Jennifer lives in Arlington with her family and is actively involved volunteering as a Girl Scouts troop leader helping to empower girls to become strong, independent leaders.
